Ericsson BlaserDirectorLausanne · CH
Ericsson Blaser is a Swiss fiction director of Lao descent, based in Lausanne. He makes short films and series, including the mini-series OmniVision, one of eight in the official selection of the 2026 Nikon Film Festival, screened at the Grand Rex and Canneseries. His short films Immortelle (2024) and Victor (2025) both won Best Film (ages 20–26) at the Concours Reflex of Visions du Réel, where Immortelle also took the Audience Award. His latest film, Luk Khao Niao (2026), shot in Lao and French, is his most personal.
I never went to film school. As an apprentice at Magic Pencil, I worked on projects for Cartier, Nespresso and Dell, directed my first corporate videos, and learned to serve someone else’s creative vision. Fiction, I learned on my own.
My films start from the real world and sometimes slide into genre. Their characters want something other than the life they were given, and I film what that desire takes from them. My own desire: a first feature film.
