Short-film
A few words This short film explores the hidden side of sports competition: for every winner, there are losers. While the winner stands in the spotlight, the losers fade into the shadows. We celebrate the performance on the big day, but we often overlook the effort and trials that lead up to that crucial moment.

Through several acts, I explore these forms of invisibility: that of the losers erased by the winner’s glory, that of the effort and resilience that are never seen, and finally that of the personal sacrifices we sometimes impose on ourselves. This film questions our vision of success and the place given to those who, despite their dedication, do not win.

Act I – Invisibility The story opens with the winner, surrounded by spotlights and cheers. This moment of glory is experienced as an absolute triumph, eclipsing everything else. In this euphoria, the losers vanish from view, forgotten in the shadow of victory.

Act II – Effort The perspective shifts: the runner-up, now the protagonist, steps into the foreground. Through his story, we discover the immense—sometimes inhuman—effort he puts in to reach his goal. Training, failure, resilience… this act highlights the cost of every step taken toward excellence.

Act III – Personal sacrifices Beyond physical effort, the path to the top demands much more: personal sacrifices that redefine priorities and disrupt the balance of one’s life. Giving things up, isolation, heartbreaking choices… the protagonist faces the harsh reality that becoming the best requires far more than training—it is a total transformation of the self.
